$4000 Vacuum Cleaner
A Sun City, Arizona couple recently purchased a vacuum cleaner for nearly $4,000. The couple now regrets the purchase which they made after three salesmen rang their doorbell and asked to demonstrate the vacuum. The salesmen were so convincing that they worked their way inside the house, and then launched into a high-pressure sales pitch for the vacuum from Nortech called the Vortech Force.
The couple knew they didn't need the vacuum, and didn't even want it, but the salesmen refused to take no for an answer and refused to leave. Instead of calling the police, however, the couple eventually bout the vacuum for $3,900 just to get rid of them. When their daughter came by to visit, she was shocked and upset by the story. She tried calling Nortech to get a refund for them but couldn't get anywhere with the company.
